Brynne
Barnes was born in Oak Park, MI. In 2005, she took her B.S. in Biopsychology
from the University of Michigan, where she was also pre-med in a feeble attempt
to escape life as a poet and artist. Having accepted her fate, she pursues
her desired career as a published children's author, poet and songwriter.
She is a reader for BathHouse Magazine and her work appears in Eastern Michigan
University's literary journal Cellar Roots, which awarded her Best in Show
for Poetry, and the annual graduate student anthology, The 51/49. Poetry aside,
she avoids homelessness via her current self-employment as a DJ and freelance
graphic design artist. Barnes attends Eastern Michigan University in pursuit
of a M.A. in Creative Writing with a concentration in poetry.
